THE PROGRAM

About P90X2 Tracker

P90X2 is the athletic evolution of Classic. Where Classic built your base, X2 uses Postactivation Potentiation (PAP) — a training technique where you pair strength moves with explosive movements to maximize power output. The program runs three phases: Foundation (stability and core), Strength (building power on that base), and Performance (peak athletic output). It is more functional and movement-focused than Classic, demanding balance, coordination, and raw strength simultaneously. If you have completed Classic or have a solid fitness base, X2 takes it significantly further.

FAQ

Common questions

What is in P90X2?

P90X2 includes workouts across three phases: Foundation (X2 Core, X2 Total Body, X2 Yoga, X2 Recovery + Mobility, X2 Balance + Power, P90X2 Ab Ripper), Strength (X2 Chest + Shoulders + Triceps, X2 Back + Biceps, Plyocide), and Performance (PAP Upper, PAP Lower). Each phase runs 3–5 weeks.

How is P90X2 different from P90X Classic?

Classic focuses on traditional strength training with muscle confusion. P90X2 builds on that with Postactivation Potentiation — pairing heavy lifts with explosive movements to train athletic performance, not just muscle size. X2 requires more balance, proprioception, and functional movement. It is harder, not just heavier.

Can I track P90X2 workouts and weights in track90?

Yes. All P90X2 workouts are pre-loaded in track90. You log weights and reps as you go, and your previous session data is available when you repeat a workout in a later phase — so you can see exactly how much you have progressed.

Do I need to complete P90X Classic before starting P90X2?

P90X2 is rated Advanced and assumes you already have a strong fitness base. Beachbody recommends completing Classic or having equivalent fitness before starting X2. If you are new to P90X, Classic is the better starting point.
